No competition in the world is so well known for their audience. Visitors from all countries will chear for all dancers and give them the applause they are longing for. In between the competitions the comperes of Assen fill the ballroom with positive energy. Every year the audience is so full of excitement that they will help the dancers to a higher level. A well known top dancer said ‘I’m getting high from this audience!’

Assen is about the best judges....

Although the fun is an important aspect of The Dutch Open in Assen, the judging of the competitions is taken seriously. Many former champions have the honor to be part of the panel of around 50 adjudicators. People who know what it is like to compete on a high level and live the life of dancing. There’s no doubt about the knowledge and skills of the people who are judging and all competitors respects the results made by this panel.
